Class A Airspace
High-altitude controlled airspace above 18,000 feet. IFR operations only with ATC clearance required. Full radar separation services provided.
Class C Airspace
Terminal area airspace around major airports. ATC clearance required. Traffic information and separation services for IFR and participating VFR aircraft.
Class D Airspace
Airport traffic area airspace. Two-way radio communication with tower required. Traffic information provided to participating aircraft.
Class E Airspace
General controlled airspace. IFR operations require ATC clearance. VFR operations may be conducted without specific ATC authorization.
Class G Airspace
Uncontrolled airspace. Self-separation and see-and-avoid procedures apply. No ATC services provided except flight service stations.
Special Use Airspace
